Q What is the return on investment (ROI) for a website? Is the return on investment guaranteed?

A: An ethical SEO company cannot determine an accurate ROI. That depends on the economy, competitors, having an effective website, sales, and your industry.

When all the above factors are taken care of, the return on investment is guaranteed.

For small to mid-sized businesses our aim is to get top placements and increased traffic to generate maximum leads per day (depending on the industry) and gain brand awareness.

Q: What is search engine optimization (SEO)?

A: Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the art of creating a website which is search engine-friendly. This means:

  • structuring your site properly
  • using the right search words in your copy
  • using the right keywords in your HTML code
  • designing your site properly

Q: How do I get a high ranking?

A: There are four main steps:

Step 1 – Use the right words on your website

Step 2 – Get lots of relevant sites to link to yours

Step 3 – Use the right words in those links

Step 4 – Have lots of content on your site & add more regularly

Q: Can’t I just pay for a high ranking?

A: No. The greatest concern for search engine companies like Google and Yahoo is finding content that will bring them more traffic (and thus more advertising revenue).

In other words, their results must be appropriate. Relevant results makes for a good search engine; irrelevant results makes for a short-lived search engine.

Q). I am number 3 in Yahoo, but not in the top 100 in Google. Why?

A. Yahoo and Google use two different algos to come up with their SERPs – Yahoo favors on- page optimization such as H1 tags, keyword density, etc while Google favors off page like in bound links.

If you have done more on page then Yahoo will rank higher and vice versa. As part of this if you are now addressing your off page then you need more back links with anchor text and time for these links to age (Google lag).

Q) What are SERP‘s?

A: Search Engine Result Pages

Q) How do I tell how many people are searching for my keywords?

A: The Google Ad words Keyword Tool, the Word tracker keyword tool, are standard tools recommended by SEO professionals that will show you number of searches per month.
